Bristol Dental Specialists are a private Specialist and referral practice conveniently located in Clifton, Bristol. We are focused on offering Specialist dental services for referring dentists throughout the South West of England and South Wales. For patients who currently do not have a dentist, we also offer regular dental care.

Our mission at Bristol Dental Specialists is to enhance our patients’ lives by providing comprehensive specialist dental care with an outstanding patient experience, delivered by a highly motivated and integrated team.

The Bristol Dental Specialists story began when five like-minded Specialist Clinicians set about creating a multi-disciplinary Specialist only Dental practice, focused on offering Specialist services for referring dentists throughout the South West of England and South Wales.

OUR SPECIALIST DENTAL TREATMENTS

Our focus is to provide patients with the best Specialist dental care. As a multi-disciplinary practice, we can provide the full range of comprehensive and complex Specialist dental treatments under one roof in order to find the best overall solution. Treatment is planned and co-ordinated across the relevant members of the team at our Practice location in Berkeley Square in Bristol and is therefore generally quicker and more convenient

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are the most discreet method of straightening teeth as they are fitted to the back of your teeth. Lingual braces are therefore largely invisible to the outside world and can be used to treat a wide variety of orthodontic problems, some of which can’t be corrected by clear aligners.

Invisalign allows you to transform your smile discreetly and comfortably using a series of virtually invisible custom-made aligners to gradually straighten your teeth without the need for metal wires or brackets. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth and is worn for 7-10 days at a time for between 20-22 hours a day. They are conveniently removed for meals and cleaning your teeth.

Ceramic Braces

Tooth coloured ceramic braces are the clear alternative to conventional metal braces. Each bracket is made from a single clear sapphire crystal, which has been grown, heat treated and polished to make it extra smooth and translucent. Sapphire is second only to diamond in strength, which makes ceramic braces very tough.

Metal Braces

Although not as popular as some of the less obvious alternatives, metal braces are still very popular and highly effective. They are less expensive than ceramic or custom metal brackets and are comfortable to wear, they are a great option for children as they can be customised with different colours making them fun to wear!

Self-Ligating Braces

Self-ligating braces look like fixed metal, and clear braces. Brackets are bonded to the front surface of your teeth and a thin arch wire is threaded through the brackets to connect them.

Paediatric Dentistry

Every child deserves to feel comfortable and confident during dental appointments. We strive to provide the finest dental care possible for each of our paediatric and adolescent patients in a gentle and caring environment. We realise that a child’s future attitude towards dentistry is influenced by today’s experiences and no patient, young or old, should be afraid of the dentist.

At the heart of this is a structured treatment journey that ensures we communicate with both you and your patient at every stage of the process. We always undertake a thorough initial assessment so that we understand all relevant clinical issues in addition to discussing and carefully considering the concerns and wishes of the patient.

The Bristol Dental Academy

Bristol Dental Academy offer seminars and courses advancing clinical skills and education in dentistry. We want to work closely with our professional dentist referrers for the mutual benefit of their patients and to help develop knowledge, skills and expertise. Bristol Dental Academy launched in January 2020 offering FREE lectures, hands-on courses and casual table discussion groups.
