Alex is a UK trained Oral Surgeon, has undertaken the Tri-Collegiate MOralSurgery examination and works as a Specialty Registrar in Oral Surgery between Guy’s Hospital in London and King’s College Hospital in London providing surgical treatment.
After graduating from the University of Leeds in 2015, Alex then began his career in Bristol undertaking Dental Foundation Training followed by Core Training in Oral Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery in Bristol Royal Infirmary and Bristol Dental Hospital. 9 years on Alex has undergone extensive UK training in third molar surgery and oral surgery at Guys’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Royal London Hospital and prior to that he also worked as an Oral & Maxillofacial Specialty Doctor for three years at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. Over this training, he also worked in several dental specialties including Oral Medicine, Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.
He is pleased to now return to Bristol to help patients at Bristol Dental Specialists in Berkeley Square, alongside his hospital commitments.
Alex has a passion for a minimally invasive approach for all oral surgery procedures and wisdom tooth removal. His practice includes treating patients who require cyst removal, orthodontic related oral surgery, oral biopsies, dental extractions, medically complex patients including those with current or previous cancer or those at risk of jaw necrosis, and those patients that are highly anxious or needle phobic.
He has a keen interest in third molar surgery (wisdom teeth) and jaw cysts. He was awarded a distinction from Kings College London in dental sedation and is pleased to offer patients sedation for their treatment too, should they require it.
His national leadership roles have included being on the Specialist Advisory Committee for Oral Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and on the Council for the British Association of Oral Surgeons.
